DFT Spork River Event Posters

I had the honor of creating posters for my improv group: The Drexel Football Team. The secret show is (according to team lore) dubbed a "Spork River." I played entirely on this fact and chose to take a photographic approach to poster-making. I chose to create two different compositions, each in landscape and portrait orientation. The first style I aimed to channel the simplicity of what the show was meant to be through the use of a single spork. For the second style, I took a more literal approach and created a river of sporks. As for the typography, I chose styles which fit the "underground" and "secret" elements of the performance. The first typefaces that came to mind were both bold, and typewriter. Considering the tone, they worked. My color palette I kept muted, continuing with the idea of secret, and I drew the color from the photograph itself.
The posters were put on Facebook to advertise the event to those invited.
